Who we areTwo carpenters and a tape measure.
Zay’s Woodworks & Maintenance is run by Sulaimaan Sedick and Zain Nezar. When you WhatsApp this business, one of them answers — and the person who quotes your job is the person who builds it and installs it.
We build the parts of a house you use every day.
Somewhere to put your clothes. A kitchen that uses the whole wall. A floor that does not lift at the doorway. A door that closes first time. Most of it is built in — measured in your home, cut to those measurements, fixed to your structure — which is why it fits the corner your room actually has rather than the corner a catalogue assumed.
Alongside the house work we take on commercial joinery — library and display walls, lounges, bar counters and reception desks — and interior and exterior painting, from a single room to a full building repaint.
Built in, not bought in
A fitted cupboard costs more than a flat-pack one, and it shows up about two years in. Ours are cut to the room, anchored to the structure and finished on site.

Repairs before replacements
A dropped door or a hinge torn out of the board is usually a fix, not a new kitchen. If replacing genuinely is better value we will tell you why — and if it is not, we will say that too.
Four steps, start to finish.
No surprises in the middle, and no invoice at the end that does not look like the quote at the start.
Send a photo
WhatsApp a picture of the space and roughly what you want. It takes a minute and costs nothing.
