Fitting
Interior and exterior wooden doors supplied and hung: frames checked and packed square, hinges recessed, locks and handles fitted, and the door planed to a consistent gap all the way round. Existing frames can be reused where they are sound.
Sealing and finishing
Exterior doors sealed or varnished properly for Cape weather — a south-easter carries salt and a west-facing front door takes real sun, and neither forgives a single thin coat. If you want the door painted rather than sealed, that is covered on our painting page.
Repairs
This is the maintenance half of the business. Doors that drag on the floor or will not latch, split frames, hinges that have torn out of the board, swollen bottoms on exterior doors, and cupboard doors that have dropped out of line. Most of it is a fix, not a replacement.
- Hung square. Consistent gaps, no dragging and no slamming shut on its own.
- Sealed for the weather. Exterior finishes chosen for sun and salt air, not just colour.
- Locks and handles fitted. Recessed and aligned, not screwed on over the top.
- Repairs first. If it can be fixed rather than replaced, we will tell you.

Before you ask.
Anything not covered here, send it through on WhatsApp. A photo answers most of it faster than a phone call.
Almost always. It is usually hinges or the fixing behind them. Send a photo of the hinge and we will tell you.
Yes, or we will hang doors you have already bought.
Yes — see our painting page. We can prepare and finish them in place, or take them off, do it properly and rehang them.
