Who we are

This website is operated by Zays Woodworks & Maintenance (Pty) Ltd (“we”, “us”), a carpentry and maintenance business operating in Cape Town, South Africa. You can reach us at info@zayswoodworks.co.za or on 061 753 2574.

What we collect

This site has no database and no account system. We only receive information you choose to send us:

• The name, contact number, suburb and job description you type into the quote form.
• Anything you send us directly on WhatsApp or by email, including photos.

The quote form does not submit to a server. When you press send, your browser opens WhatsApp with the message pre-written — nothing leaves your device until you press send inside WhatsApp yourself.

Why we use it

Only to answer your enquiry, prepare a quote, arrange a measure visit, carry out work you have booked, and keep the records a business is required to keep. We do not sell it, rent it or share it for marketing.

Who else sees it

• WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) — messages you send us travel through WhatsApp and are covered by their own privacy terms.
• Our email provider — if you email us instead.
• Google Fonts — this site loads its typefaces from Google’s servers, which means your browser contacts Google to fetch them.

We do not run advertising pixels or analytics tracking on this site.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not turn into work are kept only as long as they are useful, and are deleted on request. Records relating to completed work are kept for as long as South African tax and company law requires.

Your rights under POPIA

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act you may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to info@zayswoodworks.co.za and we will respond within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.

Cookies

This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies and does not track you between visits. It stores one setting in your browser so the cookie notice stays dismissed. The full detail is in our Cookie Policy.
